Terms of Service

Last updated 27 August 2026

Torahlab helps people in a local Torah-learning community find study partners. Using it means agreeing to what is below.

Using Torahlab

Torahlab is free. You need an account, and the details you give us should be your own and accurate — particularly your phone number, since a wrong digit sends your match's name to a stranger.

Treat the people you are matched with respectfully. We may remove an account that harasses others or misrepresents who they are.

Text messages

If you ticked the consent box at signup, Torahlab sends you text messages about your matches and sessions: when someone asks to learn with you, when a match is confirmed, and before a session you scheduled. Usually a few messages a month.

Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of using Torahlab — if you leave the box unticked, everything still works and you simply are not texted.

Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Meeting people

Torahlab introduces people; it does not vet them. Sessions happen between you and your partner, and you are responsible for deciding where and how you meet. Use your judgement, and meet somewhere public if you have not met before.

Availability

Torahlab is provided as-is. We do not promise it will always be available or that a match will be found for you.

Closing your account

You can leave at any time — email admin@torahlab.app and we will close your account and delete your details.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects you, we will say so on this page and update the date above.
